Co-selling with AWS is about to get a whole lot better. And faster!

As AWS announces its new AWS Partner Central API for Selling, we are thrilled to be launch partners for this feature which provides major improvements in the co-selling process for all AWS Partners right from their CRM system.

In this blog, we’ll touch upon the key advantages for our customers using the new AWS Partner Central API for Selling.

Limitations of the current ACE-CRM integration

Customers managing Co-sell directly through their CRM using ACE connector or a third-party CRM integrator such as Labra currently experience a short delay in seeing the latest updates on their CRM. This S3 bucket-based approach was inefficient and could take a few minutes and go up to an hour in some cases to sync the data.

There was also a delay in the notifications from integrator platforms like Labra, and this wasn’t a very scalable approach.

Streamlined API-driven process

With the adoption of the new AWS Partner Central API for Selling, AWS has allowed its partner companies and CRM integrator partners like Labra to integrate directly with AWS using the AWS APIs. This allows for faster and more efficient integration without having to rely on S3 buckets like previously used.

These APIs enable a stronger and more streamlined process of connecting with the AWS ACE portal and Co-selling with AWS.

“One of the biggest advantages of having API-based integration for us and our customers (AWS partners) is the elimination of delays in updated information reflecting in their CRMs. API-based integration also enables us to easily debug broken code and run automated smoke tests, enhancing our confidence in releasing new features much faster. We had been anticipating these APIs for a long time, and now it’s a dream come true.” – Jai Kumar, Founder and CTO, Labra.io

Faster opportunity sharing

Using APIs, the Opportunity Approval flow will become near real-time. Users will see AWS-approved opportunities simultaneously reflected in both Partner Central and their CRM, eliminating the current delay of several minutes.

This also ensures you are instantly notified when any new opportunities, or changes of state by AWS.

Scalable co-sell process

Events shared from the APIs significantly enhance Labra’s ability to manage events with precision and efficiency. Since we receive categorized events, we can apply specific business logic to each type, eliminating the need to first identify the event type manually.

This approach also improves adaptability, enabling us to integrate changes swiftly and with minimal effort, while supporting a scalable architecture. End-users will get benefits as well as we can continue building more features to cater to their unique needs.

Easy migration of legacy opportunity data

Using the new AWS Partner Central API for Selling, we can retrieve opportunities that were created before the partner began using CRM integration. This enables users to seamlessly migrate historical opportunity data into their CRM, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of records.

This process was more complex and much slower while working using the previous approach.
